A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Our task was to create a small game that involved having the player walk through an environment with the goal of immersing the player in the environment as well as evoke emotion and thoughts with the sound design and visuals. We created a graveyard with a series of graves, with 10 unique ones. We were inspired by the Novodevichy Cemetery, specifically with the fact that each grave is individualized and as a result, it was easy to identify who each grave is meant to represent. This was the main inspiration behind the graveyard.
We have created a small game involving the player walking through an environment with the goal of evoking thoughts and emotions through the sound and the visuals. We created a large graveyard with a series of graves scattered about as well as 10 unique ones along a pre-determined path. The player is to go and explore the entire graveyard and hopefully learn about these characters that are in the graveyard until he/she reaches the end. This grave was inspired by the Novodevichy Cemetery, in particular the individualized graves were direct nods to that cemetery as that cemetery does that as well.
Our goal was to immerse the player in an environment where they have no idea what its about at first, and by the end, have some clue where they are.
